Lifeguard Station
A beautiful early spring sunset over the beach at Hastings on the South Coast of the United Kingdom. The lifeguard hut is the main focus, but it is highlighted by the tones in the sky and the pier in the background, reaching out into the Channel.
Shortlisted in the 2021 Amateur Photographer of the Year competition in the Landscape category
Church Passage
Church Passage, is tucked away in the Old Town quarter, but has some beautiful and traditional 'Sussex weatherboard' cottages.
If you wander just behind St Clements Church, then you'll find this alleyway (or "Twitten" as they are called locally) which as become a bit of an iconic image of the Old Town of Hastings
The Mortuary House
This unassuming property holds a number of secrets.
Until midway into the twentieth century, it was used by the local coroner to undertake autopsies in what is now the kitchen of the house - hence it's name of "The Mortuary House". The upper floor also has a rare coffin hatch to move between floors. It also comes complete with a discrete outside shower, and has been sympathetically decorated to give the feel of a property that could be true to the 16th or 17th century, yet with some modern conveniences.
